Wisconsin Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (WIVOAD) is the state chapter of the National VOAD.
Wisconsin Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, membership-based organization that builds resiliency in communities statewide. It serves as the forum where organizations share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle — preparation, response, recovery and mitigation — to help disaster survivors and their communities.
To fulfill this mission, Wisconsin VOAD fosters more effective service to people affected by disaster through convening mechanisms, outreach, advocacy, and as a champion and facilitator for the application of our values and core principles.
Wisconsin VOAD Member organizations have worked tirelessly to assist communities affected by disasters.
Wisconsin VOAD is guided by the core principles of the 4Cs — cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration — VOAD Members provide the leadership that builds strong, resilient communities and delivers hope in times of need.
